Lots of suggestions to discover the Dolomites

Where is your hotel located, is it close to the ski lifts?

Our hotel is in Alba di Canazei, 1.5 km from Canazei centre.
The main ski lifts, Col dei Rossi and Ciampac, are at walking distance (300 mts) from our hotel.

Can any excursion be done from your hotel without a car?

There are a variety of hikes and walks available from Alba, either on foot or by the village lifts that takes you at high altitude.
The one we recommend is "Viel del Pan", a 3 hours low level path, mainly flat until the final descend that takes you to Lake Fedaia, at the Marmolada base, from where you will be able to return by bus (free for our Guests, holding the Val di Fassa Guest Card).
Val Contrin is another beautiful place to visit on foot, starting directly from our hotel without taking any lift.
There is also a range of different levels hikes that start from Ciampac or Belvedere Basin (lift at 300 mts walking distance from our hotel).
My father and I, like the rest of our team, will be available at the Reception Desk to provide you with all the information you might need, offer suggestions, maps (free of charge) and guide you through weather conditions and webcams.

We would like to ride a bicycle, do you offer rental services? Are there any cycle paths nearby?

Our hotel is a member of the Bike Hotel Val di Fassa Club, therefore we offer a range of services for bikers of all levels.
We have 15 MTBikes in house available free of charge for our Guests and also special deals with shops members of the Club for the rental of EBikes.
There is a 48 km long cycle path running right at the back of our hotel. You can cover whatever distance you feel like and if tired you can hop on the Bike Express, with your bike and return to Alba.
Further information, as well as cycle paths maps, MTB tracks, Bike Express timetable and stops will be available at the Reception Desk.

If we wish to do a guided tour, who should we ask?

As part of your holiday package you already have some free MTBike or Ebike guided tours. Simply book them online through the Val di Fassa Guest Card App or by visiting one of the qualified offices.
As per guided hikes, they can be booked by visiting one of the qualified offices, where they can provide you with schedules and costs as well (some are free for our Guests, some discounted and some other at full price).

  • 3 days out of 6
  • 6 days out of 6

For a week stay, we suggest to purchase the 3 days out of 6 option, so to enjoy some excursions from the village and some excursions at high altitude via the lifts.

We would like to visit the villages of the valley. How can we reach them?

There is a bus service which runs roughly every half hour and stops in all the villages.
The ticket can be purchased directly on the bus, however it is free for our Guest as in possession of the Val di Fassa Guest Card. You will only have to show the QR identification code found in the Val di Fassa Guest Card App to the bus driver. The nearest bus stop is located 100 mts from our hotel. There is also a 24 hours taxi service available. Ask at the reception for bookings and contact details.

We would like to try typical local products, where could we go?

At walking distance from the hotel there are 4 restaurants which offer typical meals, some of them are also pizzeria and steak house. While in Canazei, at 1.5 km distance, you will find many more.
For an original dinner, we could suggest you some refuge at high altitude or some holiday farms/huts where you could taste bio products at 0 km.

Where does the nearest cable car take you up to? Are there any walking paths once at the top?

300 mts from the hotel there are two lifts: the new Alba-Col dei Rossi cable car (which takes you to the top of Belvedere, from where the Sellaronda slopes begin during the winter season) and the Ciampac cable car on the opposite side of the mountain.
From the arrival of both cable cars you can start beautiful hikes, some of which: Viel del Pan, Sass Pordoi and its summit, Val Jumela, Buffaure, the Lino Pederiva path, the Crepa Neigra summit, San Nicolò Pass…

There is a playground at the back of our hotel, where the cycle-foot path runs and also a couple of swing chairs and a slide in our garden, around the pool area.
